The FROSTS are similar to the BURSTS as they have dark edges, which most of the time is the same color as the the rest of the guitar, but a much lighter transparent color is used toward the center of the guitar's body. 57 Surf Green The Strat Plus was produced from 1987 to 1999 and was equipped with Lace Sensor pickups, a roller nut, locking tuners, a TBX tone control and a Hipshot tremsetter. This color was called: Crimson Frost. Most of the time Fender placed a piece of tape over one small spot in the lower edge of the route to expose this conductive paint while the finish was being applied. This would become historically known as the Jeff Beck/Strat Plus prototype. These had a very round and even profile when viewed from the side. There are a lot of inconstancies in the materials one can read, so the proof is in the ownership, using the serial numbers and neck/body date stamps to confirm the date.
