Photo: Darik Varna. – In the following paper, we present the main results of our now completed studies of the Varna I cemetery, based on the excavations undertaken by Ivan Ivanov in the years 1972–1991. In 294 graves were discovered more than 3000 golden objects dating back 6000 years. When trenching near Varna port area of about 7,500 m² revealed 294 graves from Chalcolithic (Chalcolithic), some of which proved crucial to Bulgarian archeology.
